This festival of top wines and top winemakers in City Park offers some marvels of Hungarian gastronomy and a real market atmosphere. Visitors can sample wines, listen to gypsy, folk and dance music, and browse the stalls of the crafts fair.

16th June
To mark the Chain Bridge’s “birhtday”, a series of spectacular shows are performed outside the Parliament Building, in the Tunnel beneath Buda Castle and on the Danube. Events start at 10.00., and include performances of music and dance, air shows and sport competitions.

16th-24th June
This gathering organized around the city attracts top European and overseas artists from the worlds of classical and world music, as well as brass bands, contemporary dancers and the best performers of Hungarian folk dancing

Visitors are offered programmes on Shpyard Island over four days: the Celebration of Fire (ancient ceremenies associated with St john’s Day) on the 22nd, the Open Historical Day (early Magyar culture) on the 23rd, and and equastrian show (archery, mounted warfare, stunts and other entertainment) on the 24th and 25th.
