This will be the 8th time that this circus has the privilege to host and organize the International Circus Festival of Budapest. Once again its task is to present the best of International and Hungarian circus arts, comparing the best performances of the exceptional talents appearing during the seven live shows at the Capital Circus
The Festival is a celebration, a unique event for the circus arts and a serious competition for the participating professionals. Many carriers have started right here, since producers, directors and agents are always searching for new talents and interested to discover acts for their shows.
This event is held only every two years to guarantee exclusivity and maximum interests among the International circus community. We are proud that Budapest is establishing itself as a circus city, and that the festival is more and more popular among circus lovers and professionals than ever.
This time the number of competing acts has increased and the guests will be able to see 30 acts from 17 different countries in two selection groups. Shows “A” and “B” will be cautiously judged by the International Jury two times each and the winners will appear in the “Gala” performance and collect the prestigious awards during the grand finale ceremony. Additionally a non competing exhibit show is organized, to support highly professional local artists, wishing to present them selfs to the international market, in the unique ambiance guaranteed by the viewers of the International Circus Festival of Budapest.
