Christmas Fair in Budapest centre

20. November - 29. December 2010.

Every year there is a Christmas fair in Budapest, at the Vörösmarty square in December.
2010 it is being held for the 12th time, with events.
The main attraction will be the traditional Christmas Market on Vörösmarty Square, near the Chain Bridge. This well established event – one of the largest of its type in Europe – has become an indispensable part of the build-up to the festive season. It is the capital’s largest public event outside the main tourist season, and is very popular with locals and visitors alike.

You can taste here wine or eat something too, if you want it. There are a lot of different sausages, wines and brandys too in the middle of the square. And you can buy presents too of course.

Once every year, traditionally on the MUSIC-WINE Gala on December the 30th at the Budapest Congress & World Trade Center, the world famous 100 Member Gypsy Orchestra gives a gala concert. Their two part performance includes folk, gypsy and classical music.

The specialty of the event is the folk dance show and wine tasting before the concert, where our guests can taste and enjoy the outstanding products of Hungarian wineries, and even have their dinner while enjoying the program

One of the most prestigious New Year’s Eve balls will be held for the 19th time at the Hungarian State Opera.
